Georgia          } This indenture made this Second day of November in the year of
Clarke County} our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sixty one between Jane Dunnahoo and Joseph H. Dunnahoo of the county of Oglethorpe and State aforesaid of the one part and Thomas Crawford of the County of Clarke and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Jane Dunnahoo and Joseph H. Dunnahoo for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to them in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Thomas Crawford, his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county of Clarke and in the town of Athens bounded on east by John W. Nickolson on South by Dougherty Street and on the west Thomas Street on north Strong Street known as the Dunnahoo lot containing one and a quarter 1 ? acres more or less.

To Have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Thomas Crawford his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit and behalf forever in fee simple and the said Jane Dunnahoo and Joseph H. Dunnahoo for themselves their heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Thomas Crawford his heirs and assigns will _____and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all other persons whatever.
