Death Takes Mrs. Ferguson; Services Thursday
Mrs. Queen Ferguson, 92, died Wednesday morning at 6:50 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.M. Covington, in Bishop. She was ill for six weeks. Services are to be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock from Jones Methodist Chapel in Dahlonega, with buial following in Jones Chapel cemetery. Grandsons of Mrs. Ferguson will serve as pallbearers. Clyde McDorman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Covington, Mrs. A.D. Mincey, Gainesville; Mrs. N.D. Jackson, Alma, and Mrs. Frank Beck, Dahlonega; three sons, J.L. Ferguson, Winder; C.K. Ferguson, Alma; and R.E. Ferguson, Atlanta; sister, Mrs. Sallie Wimpy, Atlanta; and several granchildren and great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. A native of Dahlonega, Mrs. Ferguson had lived in Bishop for a number of years and was well known in Oconee county and throughout this section. She was a member of the Methodist church.
