Opal T. Cooper, 77, of 1446 E. Broad St., died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1992.

A native of Clarke County, Mrs. Cooper was a daughter of the late William Boyd and Ruby Ell Howe Tuck. She was the widow of Leonard Warren Cooper. She was retired from L.M. Leathers Co. and was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. today at Oconee Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Nash officiated. Survivors include her sister, Vera Tuck, Athens, and several nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the East Athens Baptist Church Building Fund. Lord & Stephens Funeral Funeral (sic) Home is in charge of arrangements.
