Barnett, Mrs. (sic) Odie - The relatives and friends of Mr. Odie Barnett are invited to attend the funeral rites Tuesday, April 26, 1949 at 2:30 p.m. from Chestnut Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. L.S. Durham officiating, assisted by Rev. L.H. Stinson. His survivors are his wife, Mrs. Hattie Barnett; three sons, Mr. Duke Barnett and afmily(sic), Athens, Ga.; Mr. Lloyd Barnett, Dayton, Ohio; Mr. H. Hampton Barnett, San Francisco, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. Cleora Johnson, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Oree Long and family, Athens, Ga.; Mrs. Lillie M. Williams and family, Athens, Ga.; Mrs. Vinida Tidwell, Boston, Mass.; Mrs. Ernestine Lincoln, Washington, D.C.; and Miss Virginia C. Barnett, Athens, Ga.; three sisters, Mrs. M. Kenny and Mrs. C. Sims, Athens, Ga.; Mrs. P. Deadwyler, Cleveland, Ohio. Interment family cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the Mutual Funeral Home until Tuesday, the day of funeral.
