Mrs. Mary Winfrey Died Sunday At Local Hospital

Mrs. Mary Winfrey, aged 72, died at a local hospital Sunday afternoon at 4:55 o'clock. She was ill four weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside at Freeman's cemetery in Clarke county, near Bogart, Monday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock, by Rev. George Stone of Athens. McDorman-Bridges funeral home. Mrs. Winfrey was the widow of the late Mr. W.N. Winfrey. She is survived by one son, Mr. Fred Winfrey of Athens; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Gunnells, Bogart; a brother, M.S.J. McElroy, Rebecca; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Winfrey was a native of Clarke county.
