Medlin Services To Be Tomorrow At First Christian

Mrs. Lula C. Medlin, widow of the late Sam J. Medlin, died last night in a local hospital following an illness of six months. Services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Christian church with the Rev. Paul C. Howie, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at High Shoals, Ga., with Clyde McDorman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Medlin is urvived(sic) by one daughter, Mrs. L.W. Taylor, Athens; two sons S.R. Medlin, U.S. Army in the South Pacific, and D.W. Medlin, Atlanta; one sister, Mrs. John Hainey, Logansville; one half-brother, John Haggard, Whitehall; three half sisters, Mrs. Lake House, Greensboro, Mrs. Claude Maddox and Mrs. Tom Anderson, Royston; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mrs. Medlin having lived in this city for more than 25 years was a member of the First Christian church, and was active in all church activities until her re-recent(sic) illness. Mrs. Medlin has many friends in Athens who will regret to learn of her death.
