David Wilkins, 65, of 433 1st Street, died Saturday following a brief illness. Born in Oglethorpe County he had lived in Clarke County for the past 30 years. The funeral will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church East with Rev. A. Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Spaulding Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Christine Wilkins; a daughter, Mrs. Lola Brown of Washington, D.C., a son, Willie Wilkins of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Mrs. Sallie Parrott of Athens; and several other relatives. Hurley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
